Welcome to the homepage of the Department of Plant Physiology of the Osnabrück University.

All organisms, in particular plants with their photosynthetically active cells, operate in a range between highly reducing and oxidizing conditions. They adjust their cellular activities (e.g. in light and dark or upon change of energy demand) permanently to the changing conditions, and they respond to each change with suitable mechanisms for adaptation in order to maintain the redox-balance. Applying a large scope of technical approaches, these processes are under investigation in the group of Plant Physiology.
